C. Wayne Hunsucker, Principal

History of the Firm

After completing his Bachelor of Architecture, with Distinction, at the University of Arizona, Wayne joined the Boise, Idaho firm of Hummel Architects in 1976.  He became a principal in 1978.  He continued as a principal in Hummel Architects until June 1, 2005 when he left the firm and formed CWH Architects, PS with the staff and resources of the Hummel Architects Kennewick office. This move was made out of a desire to honor commitments made to existing clients in Washington State and to continue to provide them with quality professional services.

In his 40+ years of practice in architecture, Wayne has gained valuable experience in numerous public and private project types.  He has been primarily in charge of large projects for Federal, State and local governments. He was the Principal-in-Charge of the 51 million dollar Benton County Justice Center Expansion Project.  He also provided the full-time, on-site construction administration services with an office staff of three in Kennewick.  This project was completed in 2003, on time and 1.2 million under budget.

CWH Architects maintained offices in Lucile, Idaho and Kennewick, WA until 2012 when he closed the Kennewick office.  CWH Architects now operates full time in Lucile, Idaho which is located in Central Idaho on the Main Salmon River.

CWH Architects provides architectural services on smaller projects and consulting services to other Idaho and Washington firms.
